Pam Bingham Designs

Pam Bingham is a London trained couture dressmaker and designer with many years of experience in making exquisite individual made-to-measure special occasion clothes. Now based in Dorset, she specialises in designing and making beautiful wedding gowns and detailed period costume – both traditional and modern.

At an initial consultation Pam will listen and advise, then design a gown to suit the bride taking into account her looks, figure and personality as well as the cost. Pam is also a skilled pattern maker and therefore can interpret her own and the bride’s ideas in a practical way, and also copy a design from a photograph, drawing or painting.

Period costume is Pam’s forte, from Medieval to Tudor, 17th, 18th century – corseted and fitting like a glove, Victorian, elegant Edwardian and through to the 21st century and beyond. Much of her inspiration comes from the past in costume, textiles, embroidery or painting. Individually designed, and intricately hand made by Pam Bingham.
